The Atria Nova South

Sandyford, Dublin, Client – Facebook

Overview

The modern office building, hosting the creative and administrative work behind the social media giant, Facebook in Sandyford near Ireland’s capital, expands over nearly 16,000 square meters altogether, more than 2,600 sqm of which are office accommodation, overlooking the central space which is the 906 sqm airy atrium flooded with natural light.

Over 500 daylight harvesting PIR’s have been installed on the SCS bus network to manage the lighting of 6 floors of open plan office using centralised broadcast DALI outputs. Meeting rooms and briefing rooms operate in presences detection mode with 4-button scenes setting controllers available to override the daylighting system for presentations and video conferencing

An Equinox73 has been installed to give facility staff the ability to control the builds core areas including the restaurant, the atrium, bike stores, reception and external lighting. They can also drill down to the technical layer to the touch screen to adjust lighting levels of the open plan areas and walkways separately throughout the building. System timers use astro functions to control the external lighting automatically.
